The Kardashian empire matriarch Kris Jenner is an American television personality who shot to instant fame and became a household name for appearing in the reality television series Keeping Up With The Kardashians (KUWTK).

Together with her family including her famous daughter Kim Kardashian, Kris turned their popular reality TV show into an avenue for making millions. So far, Keeping Up With The Kardashians is one of the top-grossing reality shows in the world and has raised the bars so high that it would be hard for their rivals to beat.

Kris Jenner Hails from a Broken Home

Formerly known as Kris Kardashian, Kristen Mary Jenner was born on November 5, 1955, in San Diego, California to Mary Jo Shannon and Robert Houghton. The momager is of Dutch, English, Irish, German and Scottish descent. Kris was just seven years old when her parents pulled the plug on their marriage.

She attended Clairemont High School and graduated in 1973. Instead of proceeding to college, Kris chose to work as a flight attendant for a year in 1976 and went on to get married to a renowned attorney, Robert Kardashian on July 8, 1978.

Apparently, starting a family was her top priority at the time. Kris and Robert had four children including three daughters; Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and a son named Robert. The couple divorced in 1991 and in 2003, Robert Kardashian died of esophageal cancer.

Her Second Marriage Aided Her Rise to Fame

After her divorce from Kardashian was made final, Kris married former Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete Bruce Jenner, now known as Caitlyn in 1991. They had two daughters; Kendall and Kylie together. The pair separated on June 1, 2013, due to Caitlyn’s struggle with his sexual image.

To a large extent, KUWTK has been largely credited as the reason Kris Jenner is famous. It is hard to disagree with that but the woman was quite a popular figure before the show premiered in 2007. Her marriage to Bruce Jenner generated a lot of buzz for obvious reasons; the man was very popular. As an athlete, he was often described as an “all-American hero” and “world’s greatest athlete”. Given that, it was only natural that his fame rubbed off on Kris.

Also, between 1994 and 1995, Kris Jenner’s first husband, Kardashian was part of the defense lawyers of O.J Simpson’s trial. Regarded as the “Trial of the Century”, it was widely covered and Kris and her family members were caught up in it as she was a good friend of Nicole Brown, O.J’s ex-wife. She was murdered at her home with her friend Ron Goldman and O.J was charged with both murders; this birthed the trial that ensued.

KUWTK Has Been a Cash Cow for Kris

The KUWTK which makes Kris Jenner’s net worth look fancy has been on the air for over a decade. Debuting in October 2007, the leaked sex tape involving her daughter Kim and Ray J generated a buzz for the family reality series. In 2012, Kris signed a $40 million deal with the E! Network to ensure more KUWTK seasons. Being the momager of her children entitles her to a 10% cut of their profits.

In October 2017, the Kardashians signed a new three-year contract with E! Entertainment. This follows its last renewal which was in 2015. The contract will keep the show on the air until at least 2020. According to a few sources, the new Kardashian deal is worth just under $100 million.

Nevertheless, US entertainment websites including gossip site TMZ say that the family is pocketing $30 million per season – for 5 seasons, which comes to $150 million which is a huge raise from the last contract.

Other Things That Have Contributed To Her $90 Million Net Worth

The reality show isn’t Kris’ only source of income as she runs her own Los Angeles-based production company called Jenner Communications, for which she used to serve as the executive producer of KUWTK as well as its numerous sequels. She earns a salary of $12 million from the show and its spin-offs.

Apart from her family reality show, Kris Jenner also hosts her very own talk show called Kris. It was on this show that her son-in-law Kanye West revealed the first photos of his daughter North West. Unfortunately, after one season, the show was canceled by FOX. Jenner has made appearances in other shows like The Talk, America’s Next Top Model, and Good Morning America. Jenner also receives as much as $50,000 to make appearances at events.

While Kris and Caitlyn were married, the couple shared joint accounts which included proceeds from their TV earnings, as well as their numerous business endeavors. After their divorce, everything was split 50/50. TMZ revealed that the entire money was somewhere around $60 million. Kris Jenner also got to keep the contents of the separate account she operated for her Momager Inc and Jenner Communications, her management company.

In terms of assets, Kris Jenner maintained ownership of their Hidden Hills mansion which is often featured on KUWTK. She also kept 5 luxury cars including 2 Mercedes-Benz, a Range Rover, and a Rolls Royce. The matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner clan and the force behind the KUWTK franchise, Kris Jenner has a net worth of about $90 million. In November 2017, Kris reportedly expanded her real estate portfolio with a new six-bedroom Hidden Hills home, complete with a 10-person spa worth a whopping $9.9 million.

Kris Jenner Has Been Dating Corey Gamble for a While

Even in her mid-60s, Kris looks like she still has her years ahead of her. Though most of her good looks may have been surgically enhanced, she continues to attract men who are very eager to have a romance with her.

Since November 2014, Kris has been dating entertainment businessman Corey Gamble who is 25 years younger than her. Though their relationship has been plagued with split rumours, the pair seems to be doing well. Before Corey, she was linked to several men as listed below:

Todd Waterman

It was in 2012 that Kris Jenner disclosed that she dated the former footballer while she was married to her first husband. She made this revelation in her autobiography titled Kris Jenner… and All Things Kardashian but referred to Todd as “Ryan”. From what we gathered, the affair lasted from 1989 to 1991.

Cesar Sanudo

Sanudo died on the 28th of August 2011; he was an American professional golfer who competed in the PGA and Senior PGA Tours. What he had with Kris reportedly lasted from 1973 to 1974, a few years before her marriage to Kardashian.

Alfred M. Garcia

Another person she also dated before her first marriage, what Kris and Alfred had lasted from 1972 to 1973. Alfred is a popular photographer. He once disclosed that he and Kris parted ways because he didn’t want to have a serious relationship because he was passionate about photography and it was taking much of his time.
