Former Brewers prospect Andres Melendez passed away on Thursday aged 20 years whose death cause is still under wraps.

Andres Melendez was a Venezuelan baseball player for the Cleveland Guardians who played as a catcher wearing jersey number 30. He played in various matches and showed his outstanding skills.

Further, Melendez spent the entire 2021 season with (Low-A) Lynchburg. He came over to Cleveland in a trade for INF Mark Mathias in 2019. Besides, he had good career stats.

On April 29, 2021, he was assigned to Lynchburg Hillcats from AZL Indians Blue. He has led his team to win several titles by giving his best in the field.

But he was still on the way to rise more but couldn’t complete his dream as Melendez had already taken his last breath. The sudden news of his passing has left the whole world devasted.

R.I.P. Andrés Meléndez. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, loved ones, teammates and those who knew him.
