He even goes so far as to grow some of his food. In addition, Toews wants to convey his sense of humor while promoting a constructive message. Today, family friends recall that Toews has always been a perfectionist, which is why he is so successful. His family and friends spoke about his success in the 2015 Stanley Cup Victory Film, “Hat Trick”: Since Steve Yzerman was Toews’ childhood hero, choosing 19 as his number when he made his NHL debut in 2007 was not difficult. As Tampa Bay’s general manager at the moment, Yzerman was very impressed with Toews when Chicago trounced the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2015 Stanley Cup Finals. Toews is “just a better hockey player,” according to Yzerman, who even went so far as to say that.
