Jackson remains one of the most famous names in Hollywood even though the most famous of the Jacksons (Michael) died in 2009. The legacy the mega-star left behind in the industry isn’t the kind that can easily ebb away. Again, some siblings of his, especially his sister Janet Jackson is still in the industry and has enough real talent to succeed without their family ties.

Apart from his sister and good music, Michael left behind three of his kids; they all seem to be doing great since his passing. Let’s focus on his last son Blanket Jackon also known as Prince Michael Jackson II. True, this Prince became famous right after his birth, but there is more to know about him. Read on to find out more facts about the young man.

Blanket Jackson’s Age and Real Name

Currently called B.G or Bigi, Blanket Jackson’s birth sign is Pisces. He was born in La Mesa, Califonia on February 21, 2002. Blanket is the youngest of Michael Jackson’s children and his two siblings are – Michael Joseph Jackson Jr and Paris Michael Katherine Jackson. Blanket’s birth name is Prince Michael Jackson II but his brother Michael Joseph Jackson Jr is confusingly called Prince. He was homeschooled for his early education before he joined private Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California. Blanket Jackson also practices martial arts and loves to play video games.

He first caught the world’s attention when he was only nine months and his father held him out of the balcony of Berlin hotel. The act which happened four stories above the ground sparked media outrage, and the pop legend regretted taking the step.

At age 7, when he was quite young and unaware of what death really meant, his father died. The passing of Michael Jackson changed a lot in his kids’ lives including their privacy. The King of Pop had always refused to expose his children to the public so that they won’t be deprived of their childhood. But during his star-studded funeral at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, the world got its first major glimpse of the star’s children. Nonetheless, Blanket has since embraced life out of the limelight and is leading a private lifestyle which was what his father desired for him.

His Mother and Biological Father

Two of Michael’s children were born by his ex-wife Debbie Rowe while the identity of the mother of his last child, Blanket remains vague. However, there have been speculations about his birth. One of them suggests that he was born through a surrogate mother but her identity has been kept strictly confidential. Some other sources unveiled her identity claiming that her name is Helena, a Mexican nurse. Helena is said to have donated her egg while Jackson donated his sperm through IVF which makes the late pop star Blanket’s biological father.

Michael settled for Helena after Debbie suffered some medical complications following Paris’ birth which made conception impossible for her. It is said that some of the things Michael factored in before choosing the surrogate mother included her skin color and nationality which is America. Jackson also had to run a complete background check on her – he checked out her pictures and considered her family history. As the story goes, she was paid $20,000 but was pampered with expensive gifts. She was also made to sign a deal transferring all rights to the child to Jackson.

All three of Jackson’s kids have been under the care of Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mother. In 2012, nonetheless, TJ Jackson, the son of Michael’s brother, Tito Jackson became a co-custodian of the kids with Katherine’s blessing. Full guardianship was later transferred to TJ given the age of Katherine and the minor child, Blanket who is now a teenager.

Blanket Jackson’s Net Worth

For Blanket, he will be in charge of his own inheritance when he turns 30 and by then his wealth is expected to have grown to 330 million dollars.
