In 2011, she went back to school for a master’s degree in Journalism and Electronic Media at UT to focus on hard news.

Her first reporting job was at Local 8 channel, WYMT in Hazard, Ky. She started off her m as a morning co-anchor and dayside reporter. Though the town was small she covered some pretty big stories from tightening EPA coal regulations to a close 2014 Senate race to 14 inches of snow that fell in two days!
