The undefeated World Super Middleweight Champion hands Lee his first misfortune in amazing style, dropping him multiple times altogether in the headliner on FOX PBC Fight Night. The aphorism that it’s harder to keep a title than it is to win one doesn’t matter to Caleb Plant’s first guard.

The IBF super-middleweight titleholder exhibited very quickly that challenger Mike Lee, a fearless, however rough fighter, had practically no opportunity of beating a rising star like Plant (19-0, 11 KOs), who featured FOX PBC Fight Night in front of the Manny Pacquiao-Keith Thurman PBC on FOX Sports PPV headliner, both live at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The hero icily and effectively scored three knockdowns in two-in addition to uneven rounds, the remainder of which persuaded ref Robert Byrd that the overmatched Lee (21-1, 11 KOs) had just taken enough discipline for one night and halted the battle.

The official time was 1:29 of the third round.

Plant won the title by putting hard-punching veteran Jose Uzcategui down twice and vanquishing him by a consistent choice on January 13 in Los Angeles, a triumph he devoted to his late little girl, who kicked the bucket at 19 months old of an obscure sickness in 2015.

He has since lost his mom, who was shot and slaughtered by a cop for supposedly shaking a blade in March. In any case, Plant has not permitted the most recent catastrophe in his life to crash his quick climb as outstanding amongst other 168-pounders in the word or occupy him.

Lee, an alum of the University of Notre Dame, discovered that rapidly on Saturday night.

Plant had his way with Lee from the opening chime, landing snappy, hard punches voluntarily and utilizing feline fast feet and reflexes to maintain a strategic distance from pretty much every endeavor Lee made to discover the target. Lee was down yet didn’t have the physical apparatuses to contend with a tweaked competitor like Plant.

The main knockdown accompanied around 40 seconds staying in the opening round, as Plant handled a short left snare that put Lee on his jeans.

Lee got up from the principal knockdown and figured out how to stay on his feet in the second round, in any event to a limited extent on the grounds that the patient Plant didn’t carelessly seek after a knockout, yet everything came slamming down in the third round.

Plant tossed two punches and after that pursued with a wide right around Lee’s gatekeeper that put him on the canvas a subsequent time. The challenger had the option to get up however went right down when Plant handled another left snare.

Lee again got to his feet however was in a difficult situation. Another left snare dropped him however Byrd ruled it a slip. It wouldn’t make any difference. Lee didn’t appear to be harmed severely however unmistakably had no clue how to adapt to the job needing to be done, as the last knockdown underscored.

One all the more left snare, which appeared to get him reeling, put Lee down again and bring up the issue in Byrd’s brain, “Is there any point in enabling this battle to proceed?” The conspicuous answer was “no.”

Lee whined about Byrd’s choice yet a couple of others would. Plant had anticipated that he would stop Lee and did it effortlessly.

“I’ve been disclosing to all of your week that it would not go 12 rounds. I adhered to my promise,” Plant said in the ring a short time later.

Plant can’t anticipate that his next adversary should be a weakling.

WBC super-middleweight titleholder Anthony Dirrell supposedly will confront “Champion in Recess” David Benavidez for that belt on the Errol Spence-Shawn Porter card in September.

Plant couldn’t want anything more than to make the following stride in his profession by confronting the champ of that battle for a chance to bring together titles.
