She was the first person who dies by suicide on a live television broadcast, but she was not the only person.

Nowadays, death on live TV has become more common, and even terrorists are using this mean to transfer message.

But Christine Chubbuck’s death was not planned, at least not by any organization; instead, it was Christine who decided to do it.

Christine Chubbuck Death -Why Did She Commit Suicide?

Christine Chubbuck committed suicide on live television on the 15th of July 1974, at 29 years old.

No one knew that day what they were going to see or face.

She came to the newsroom and asked her co-workers that she had to read a newscast to open Suncoast Digest, something she had never done before.

After reading the news for 8 minutes straight, she read a script written by her telling her problems and then shot herself behind her right ear.

The script she read and the footage shocked everybody around the globe.

The reason for her death might never be revealed, but we know from her script and her actions that she was severely depressed.

The most important thing missing from her life was Love. She never found her Love.

We can imagine how desperate she was for Love by just knowing that, at the age of 29, she was still a virgin.

Although she had a crush on one of her co-workers, she later found that he was dating somebody else, so her dream shattered.

Christine was going to have surgery on her ovary. The doctor told Christine that if she did not get pregnant in 2-3 years, she might never be able to have a child.

This made Christine more depressed, and it was the last point that Christine could hear in her life before committing suicide.

It was just the tip of the iceberg of Christine’s problems in her life.

Despite being so educated, talented, she lacks the most important aspect of life, Love.
