Meet Davis Bertans Family

Bertans is the son of proud parents, Dina and Dainis Bertāns. Davis appears to be not the only member of his family that participates in sports.

Dainis, his father, was a professional basketball player at his peak and now coaches a young team. His mother was a former high-level rower in her day and is now a gym teacher.

Davis was raised with his sibling, Dairis Bertans, a professional basketball player. He used to play for the New Orleans Pelicans. Bertans is missing part of his right ring finger due to a childhood wood-cutting accident.

They belonged to a lower-middle-class family as they could barely afford any form of luxury. He was raised in Rjiena, Latvia’s northernmost town, until his parents relocated to Riga, Latvia’s capital city. Bertans is a native Serbian speaker.
