Dennis James Allen, popularly known as Dennis Allen, has been happily married to his wife, Alisson Allen. He has two kids, including a son, Garrison Allen, and a daughter, Layla Allen. The family of four seems to be quite close to each other.

Dennis is well-recognized as the American football head coach of the New Orleans Saints in the National Football League (NFL). Previously, Allen was a safety for team R at Texas A&M University. The “Wrecking Crew” defense of C. Slocum. Texas A&M defeated their Texas rivals 18-9 thanks to Allen’s interception in the last frame.

Allen also participated in a defense that was among the top five in the country during the 1994 and 1995 seasons, starting the final 21 games of his collegiate career. Later, Dennis became an undrafted free agent in 1996 and signed with the Buffalo Bills, but he was released during training camp.

Quick Facts About Dennis Allen

Dennis Allen Kids Garrison Allen and Layla Allen Are Both Swimmers

Dennis Allen’s kids, his son Garrison Allen and his daughter Layla Allen are a brother-sister team and two of the best swimmers in St. Tammany Parish and Mandeville. The Allen family collected five top-five finishes at the Division I state meet last month between the two of them.

With the Allens, the sibling rivalry stereotype takes a slightly different approach. Layla and Garrison use one another to continually push one another to improve while maintaining the same training and workout schedules as opposed to competing against one another directly.

Despite being at various phases of their careers, it helps that they both compete in the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events.

Layla was one of the Skippers’ upcoming stars when she finished third in the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.11) at the state championship, making her the state’s fastest freshman. She additionally contributed to Mandeville’s victory in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

In the meantime, Garrison, one of the few seniors on the boys’ roster, is concentrating more on developing into a leader in the meantime. At the state competition, his best placing as a junior was fourth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:49.11.

It would be reasonable to conclude that Layla and Garrison inherited their father’s competitive spirit. Dennis Allen can relate to them because he comes from a football family; his father played for the Atlanta Falcons for five seasons.

But when it comes to watching his kids participate, he claimed he prioritizes being a dad more than a coach. He will offer them words of wisdom on the competitive mindset on occasion, but he will leave the direction to Mandeville coach Robby Fritscher.
