A television personality Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has temporarily stepped down from Jersey Shore Season 5 in order to focus on his mental health. While his co-stars backed him up in his decision, some reports linked his departure to his domestic violence case.

Ronnie Magro had a turbulent year in 2021.

There were some memorable moments, such as when Ronnie proposed to Saffire Matos, and she accepted.

However, the good outweighed the bad in what we can only hope will be a watershed year for the troubled Jersey Shore star.

As you may recall, Magro was arrested in April 2021 on domestic violence charges for the second time. Let’s find out everything about the case here.

Is Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Arrested Again In 2022? His Charges Details

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is not arrested in 2022. However, he was arrested on April 22, 2021, in Los Angeles, CA, on “suspicion of intimate partner violence with injuries and priors.”

The TV star was not charged with a felony, according to reports.

Jersey Shore Season 5 premiered on MTV on January 6. Although Ronnie appeared in the first episode, he will not appear in subsequent episodes.

The other Jersey Shore cast members support Ortiz-decision Magro’s because they believe he needs a break.

Is Ronnie Ortiz-Magro In Jail?

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is not in jail. However, he was jailed in 2021 when he was alleged of domestic violence. On the same day, he was released on $100,000 bail.

Because he was still on probation for an assault on his previous partner, Jen Harley, who is also the mother of his daughter, it was widely assumed that he would be sentenced to prison.

However, because Matos declined to testify, prosecutors were left with insufficient evidence to pursue charges.

Needless to say, Ron appears to be dealing with serious issues, and he appears to be in desperate need of a long break from the spotlight as well as some serious professional help.

Where is Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Now?

As mentioned before, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has quit the show and is currently focused on improving his mental health.

Ortiz-Magro announced his departure from Jersey Shore last April, the same month his daughter was born, and he was later arrested in a domestic violence case.

The 36-year-old star has a 3-year-old daughter, Ariana, with ex-girlfriend Jen Harley.

Ortiz-Magro was in a relationship with Saffire Matos at the time of his arrest last year. The couple has had ups and downs, but they have stayed together.

While the Instagram photos show that the couple is still together, widespread speculation exists that there is trouble in paradise.

The couple got engaged in June 2021 and celebrated their engagement in October with a huge party.
