John Broadus Watson is an American psychologist who popularized the scientific theory of behaviorism, establishing it as a school of psychology. Watson enhanced this shift in psychology through his 1913 speech at Columbia University, titled Psychology as Behavioral Perspectives. Using his behavioral approach, Watson has conducted research on animal behavior, parenting and advertising, as well as the controversial “Little Albert” and Kerplunk experiment.
