In exchange for Tayshaun Prince, the Boston Celtics acquired Jonas Jerebko from the Detroit Pistons in 2015 along with Luigi Datome. He re-signed with the Celtics later that year.

Jerebko joined the Utah Jazz in 2017, but the organization released him in 2018. He later joined the Golden State Warriors, where he enjoyed success.

During his time with them, he scored a career-high 23 points against the Dallas Mavericks in 2018 and made the game-winning tip-in against the Jazz the following year.

Jerebko signed with Khimki in Russia after leaving the Warriors, but his contract was canceled in 2021 for personal reasons.

Jerebko was one of the top five European prospects in the 2009 NBA draft, according to ESPN expert Fran Fraschilla. Finally chosen by the Detroit Pistons, Jerebko began his NBA career with them.

Due to his perseverance and hard effort during his rookie season, he became a fan favorite. As a result, he was chosen as a member of the Rookie Team for the 2010 Rookie Challenge and Youth Jam at the NBA All-Star Weekend.

He participated in 80 games and was among the NBA’s top rookies in a number of categories.

In March 2022, he then signed with CSKA Moscow, although owing to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, the decision was criticized in his native Sweden.
