Kouri Richins, a Utah author who wrote a children’s book on coping with grief, has been charged with the murder of her husband.

According to prosecutors, she allegedly poisoned him with a lethal dose of fentanyl at their home in March 2022.

According to court records, on March 4, police were called to the couple’s home on Willow Court, where they found Eric Richins’ body on the floor at the foot of his bed.

Richins reportedly told police that they were celebrating the sale of a House and that she had made her husband a Moscow Mule vodka drink which she brought to him in their bedroom.
