The Untitled John Wells Medical Drama Pilot included Mozhan Marno, albeit it was never broadcast. She was notably a part of Ana Lily Amirpour’s first feature film, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, which was produced by Elijah Wood through The Woodshed.

In the critically acclaimed video game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Marno provided the voice for the Breton mage Mirabelle Ervine, a Master Wizard of the College of Winterhold. She was also nominated for a SAG award for her portrayal of the reporter Ayla Sayyad in seasons two and three of the acclaimed Netflix series House of Cards.

Samar Navabi, a Mossad operative, and assassin, was another character she portrayed in seasons 2 through 6 of The Blacklist.

Marno also works as a director and a screenwriter in addition to acting. When the Lights Went Out, her first comprehensive screenplay, advanced to the Nicholl Fellowship competition’s quarterfinal round. She transformed the screenplay into a stage play, which was shown in July 2013 at New York Stage and Film.

Laura Innes was the play’s leading lady, and Ruined director Kate Whoriskey oversaw the production. Incoming, a short film written and directed by Marno, has been selected for screening at numerous prestigious film festivals, including the Noor Iranian Film Festival, LA SHORTS FEST, the Asians on Film Festival, and the DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival.
