Priscilla Presley’s Age and Bio

Priscilla Ann Presley (nee Wagner, later Beaulieu) was born on the 24^th of May 1945 in Brooklyn, New York. Her father’s name was James Wagner while her mother’s name was Anna Lilian Iversen. Her dad died when she was just six months old and her mom remarried an Air Force officer named Paul Beaulieu. This second marriage produced her sister named Michelle Hovey. Due to the nature of her adoptive father’s job, Priscilla Presley had the life of a regular army brat. She thus spent her formative years in different cities such as Connecticut, New Mexico, Maine and Del Valle, Texas. Air Force duties eventually made the entire family relocate to the German town of Wiesbaden. It was in Germany that Presley would meet the man that would forever change her life.

Husband

Priscilla Presley first met her future husband in September 1959 in Germany. At that time, Elvis was already a popular musician but was stationed in Germany for compulsory military service. It was a case of love at first sight for the couple but they had to take things slow as she was just 14 years old. They started seeing each other but had to do so within the confines allowed by her parents. Elvis eventually went back to the states in 1960 and Priscilla joined him in 1962. The couple continued their relationship and eventually tied the knot on the 1^st day of May 1967. There have been insinuations that Elvis was pressured into marrying her but she has dismissed such. Whichever it is, the couple were married for six years and divorced in 1973. The breakdown of their marriage was caused by Elvis’ busy schedule which meant that they spent much time apart. They were also issues of cheating and infidelity on both sides.

What to Know About Her Son

Priscilla Presley has two children. Her first child is a daughter – Lisa Marie Presley, with her former husband Elvis. Lisa Marie inherited her parents’ artistic genes and is a musician as well as an actress. She has released three albums To Whom It May Concern (2003), Now What (2005) and Storm & Grace (2012). She has also had a colourful love life, marrying and divorcing on four occasions. Some of her ex-husbands include actor – Nicholas Cage and the king of pop himself – Michael Jackson. With regards to her second child, Priscilla Presley was in a 22-year relationship with American entrepreneur Marco Garibaldi. That relationship produced a son named Navarone Garibaldi. Navarone is a musician and is the frontman of the band – Them Guns.

Priscilla Presley’s Net Worth

Priscilla Presley has a net worth estimated at $150 million. She accumulated her fortune through a sheer dint of hard work. It must be noted that back in the 60s when Presley got married, the society frowned at women having jobs. The women were expected to stay at home and play house while the men brought home the bacon. As a result of this, even though Presley wanted to have a career as a model or dancer, she couldn’t do any of those things. Her situation was further complicated by the fact that her husband did not like the idea of her working. Following her divorce, Presley finally got the freedom to do what she wanted. She launched a successful clothing boutique known as Bis & Beau.

She also started acting and made her Hollywood debut in a 1983 episode of The Fall Guy. Presley would go on to land memorable roles in the Naked Gun films as well as the soap opera – Dallas. Ironically, even though her former husband never wanted her to work, Presley was the one that saved his estate from bankruptcy. When Elvis passed away in 1977, his dad initially served as the executor of his estate before Presley took over. She discovered that taxes and other expenses had nearly swallowed Graceland Mansion, and hired a team that transformed the mansion into a major tourist attraction. Priscilla Presley also took charge of matters related to licensing, music publishing, TV and video projects as well as merchandising and was able to transform the estate into a trust worth $100 million.
