Late Dr. Sidney M. Wolfe’s life journey included two marriages.

His first union was with Ava Albert, resulting in four children: Hannah, Rachel, Leah, and Sarah.

Unfortunately, details about their marriage and its end remain undisclosed.

In 1978, Wolfe embarked on a lasting marriage with Suzanne Goldberg, a clinical psychologist and artist. Until his passing in 2024, they stood united, with Suzanne mentioned as a survivor in his obituary.

Suzanne played a pivotal role in Wolfe’s life and career, providing a calming influence and balance to his intense focus on drug safety and patient advocacy.

Described as a supportive force, she stood by him until the end. Beyond her role in healthcare, Suzanne was an artist known for her abstract expressionist paintings.

During his lifetime, Dr. Wolfe championed transparency in clinical trials, criticized the overprescription of medications, and pushed for greater patient empowerment in healthcare decisions.

His unwavering commitment earned him recognition as a MacArthur Fellow and a relentless advocate for patient safety.
