POV: you are scrolling via your TikTok For You Page while you stumble through a random “Outfit of the Day” video.

To your surprise, it isn’t always a normal OOTD; the difficulty is displaying off her search for pledge day 3 at the University of Alabama.

If this has befallen you during the last few days, you are now no longer alone. Tons of TikTok customers are becoming those sorority pledge films bumped to their FYPs.

What Is Alabama Rush TikTok?

All the videos you have been seeing are a part of Alabama Rush, a.k.a sorority recruitment week at the University of Alabama.

The Greek recruitment technique commonly calls for pledges to publish motion pictures, approximately why they need to be a part of certain chapters.

That’s in which TikTok comes into play. Under the hashtags #AlabamaRush and #BamaRush, there are motion pictures of pledges making a song and dancing, displaying off their OOTDs and OOTDs, or even making memes approximately the matter.

Odds are the TikTok set of rules planted the Alabama Rush films onto numerous FYPs.

A few individuals felt pressured to virtually participate withinside the OOTD fashion after seeing pledges do so.

#Bamarush Sorority Pledge Meaning Explained

Students at the University of Alabama use Tiktoks to share their Sorority pledges, and other users find it very entertaining.

The types of sororities that we’re talking about here think Legally Blonde, Monsters University, and Pitch Perfect.

There’s additionally a truthful quantity of individuals who are not even concerned in Greek life (or going to college, for that matter) poking a laugh on the pledges’ films. Izzie DeLuca (recognized as @i_delz at the platform) attempted her hand at a southern accessory, even sporting hair clips as earrings.

The southern dialect appears to be a famous subject matter at the hashtag due to the fact Titus Cody additionally recreated pledge Hannah Dubberly’s OOTD video with foiled birthday celebration decorations as “earrings.”

Others, like user @morganalex14, are stressed as to how they ended up at the Alabama Rush aspect of TikTok.

It seems that there are greater of those films than ones made through real pledges. Here’s to hoping the pledges make it to the sororities in their choice due to the fact this has been a wild ride.
