Primary Difference

Social networks have become an integral part of our lives and we have started depending on them for all sorts of information related to politics, breaking news, sports, and showbiz. One of the most famous social networks currently is Twitter which has many features. A person who is new to the world of socializing over the internet, and especially this application might find it confusing in some ways since it becomes tough to grasp the whole world in some time. Two such features which are most famous on Twitter are Following and Followers and the ones which confuse people the most. There is the difference between them and that will be discussed here. Followers are the people who follow your account in order to receive the updates you share. They follow you if they think you are giving a particular information that is valuable to them or they like your tweets. Following is the list of people that you follow on Twitter in order to get updates. These can be people you like, celebrities, sports teams and random people who share good stuff. Another difference is that if the account has privacy, only the people who are in your followers can see the things you share with the world. The following cannot see these updates unless they follow you back. The other difference is that unless you follow someone back they cannot interact with you privately, the ones who are in your following cannot interact with you through direct messages if they are not returning the favor. The difference between following and followers is deemed important and shows the frame of someone on this social network. Most people prefer to keep their number of following less in order to show they follow only particular people but want more people to follow them to be more known. There are many other differences too which will be explained at the end while a brief description of two types is given in the next two paragraphs.
