Ransone came to Instagram in May 2021 to disclose a highly personal and upsetting experience. He revealed that his math instructor, Timothy Rualo, had sexually molested him in 1992. Ransone submitted the allegations to Baltimore County police in March 2020, but after an investigation, they decided not to press charges.

The Baltimore school system is presently conducting an investigation into the incident. Ransone was 27 years old when he confronted serious personal issues, including a heroin addiction and a $30,000 debt.

However, he was able to turn his life around and achieve sobriety in 2007, which was a key turning point in his journey. Ransone is happily married to Jamie McPhee, with whom he has a kid, and the couple enjoys a loving family unit.
