Kyle Rittenhouse Trial Stream

Kyle Rittenhouse’s murder trial began closing arguments, with the case set to go to the jury soon after.

After a long debate on both sides, the jury that will decide Kyle Rittenhouse’s fate will be allowed to examine certain lesser counts in addition to the ones presented against him by the prosecutors. The case’s closing arguments are likely to last four to five hours.

During a night of tumultuous demonstrations against racial injustice in Kenosha in the summer of 2020, Rittenhouse, now 18, killed two men and injured a third.

The former police youth cadet from Antioch, Illinois, was in Kenosha with an AR-style semi-automatic weapon and a medical kit in an effort to protect property from the disruptive protests that erupted after a white Kenosha police officer shot Jacob Blake, a Black man.

Judge Bruce Schroeder will then decrease the number of jurors from 18 to 12 by randomly selecting names from a tumbler, similar to how lottery numbers are selected.
