Who Is Richard Cottingham Wife Janet Cottingham?

Janet Cottingham is known for being the wife of Richard Cottingham. She testified against her husband in the courtroom. They got married in 1970 and till 1979 were together.

Janet got married to USA’s one of the most dangerous serial killers based in New Jersey. He might have hidden all his attributes while marrying Janer or else she would not get married.

Cottingham dismembered and decapitated two victims at a Hells Kitchen motel on W. 42nd Street and Tenth Avenue near Times Square on December 2, 1979.

He was officially accused of killing 11 individuals, though his claims are more than what police could be able to find out. He claimed murders between 85 to hundreds of victims.

Janet has kept her away from the camera as of now but, she provided most of the details about her husband’s judgment and was key people on Cottinghams’ arrest.

They got married in Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Queens Village, New York, on May 3, 1970. She is living her private life, and we wish she had overcome her bad experience with him.

Does Richard Cottingham Have Kids and Children?

Richard Cottingham has three children. It has highlighted that only Janet is his wife so they could be Janet’s children. They have not come forward to speak.

Of course, it is a moment of disgust that to talk about their father’s crime. In October 1969, he was charged and convicted of drunk driving in New York City and was jailed with a $50 fine.

So, he was arrested for several reasons, even before he got married to Janet. It is Janet’s good luck that she is alive and her children as Cottingham didn’t kill them too.

Where Are Richard Cottingham’s Kids Now?

Richard Cottingham has three daughters but, there is no confirmation on whether Janet Cottingham is the mother. His children’s whereabouts are unknown.

To think of it, it is natural that it will be difficult for them to appear before the media or the society as we all know they might face difficulties and challenges due to their father.

We hope they are doing good and not affected by their father’s crime. He was arrested on several minor charges throughout his killing spree, and police were not aware of the murders.
