Lynda Cruz is Nikolas’ Cruz’s mom, who feared he was too unstable to ever live on his own, yet she brought him to buy an AK-47 nevertheless.

An employee of Gun World of South Florida claimed to Cruz’s mother Lynda Cruz, an older woman he believed to be his grandmother, to have accompanied him to the Deerfield Beach store when Cruz purchased an AK-47 weapon.

He’s just young and she wanted to make sure he was safe and everything, so she told the pistol not to be handed to him if she wasn’t present, the clerk reported.

Details About Lynda Cruz’s Cause Of Death

Lynda Cruz passed away from pneumonia in November 2017 at 68. A year before, her son had turned 18. After losing her spouse when Nikolas was a young child, she raised him and his brother, who were both adopted, on her alone for a long time.

Cruz is suspected of murdering 17 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School faculty members and students on Valentine’s Day this year. He attacked with an AR-15, a different weapon from his collection.

According to the legislation, prosecutors must provide the defense with materials, including witness testimony, that must be made accessible to the media. The weird paradox of a mother who encouraged her problematic son’s enthusiasm for weapons yet is terrified of him is revealed in the nearly 200 pages published on Friday.

Cruz told her friend Marni Garvey of Coral Springs that she was likely going to be his lifelong companion and that he would never be able to be independent.

Stoneman Douglas Trail Update – Nikolas Cruz Killed 17 People

On Monday, the sentencing process for the shooter who murdered 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, more than four years ago will start.

The jury will now decide whether Nikolas Cruz, 23, will receive a life sentence in prison or the death penalty. He has already pleaded guilty to each allegation.

While the prosecution is requesting the death penalty, Cruz’s defense team is advocating for the only alternative possible sentence, life in prison without the chance of release. (In Florida, parolees serving life sentences are not eligible.)

The trial, which is anticipated to last months, will feature testimony from witnesses and an assessment of the evidence by a jury of seven men and five women. The jury’s decision to execute a defendant must be unanimous. Cruz will be given a life sentence unless one juror changes their mind.

Nikolas Cruz’s Father, Roger Cruz Died Before The Stoneman Douglas Shooting Incident

Lynda Cruz lost dead in November 2017, two months before the shooting, while Roger Cruz passed away when the boys were still petite.

According to jail documents, Woodard has not tried to get in touch with Nikolas since the incident. Daniella Woodard, 31, is the half-sister of Nikolas and Zachary. According to court documents, Miami-based Daniella also has a lengthy criminal history, including convictions for violence, resisting arrest, and credit card fraud.

She was found guilty of multiple offenses, including the second-degree attempted murder of a police officer, and is currently serving an eight-year jail term.

Cruz’s upcoming murder trial may be affected by his family history. Cruz entered a not guilty plea despite admitting to shooting dead 17 people.
